Hi! Welcome to Tiny Sloth. So glad you’re here.
We’re David and LeAnn, the husband and wife cofounders of Tiny Sloth. We’re those people you’d see in the greeting card section laughing while passing cards back and forth to each other. Our desire is that you get a glimpse into our personality through the design of the cards and their descriptions. They’re unique, just like the reason you’re sending a card and the people who’ll be receiving them. Our online selection will constantly be updated as we release new designs. We hope you enjoy them and that you’ll share Tiny Sloth with your friends and family.
BUT I CAN BUY A CARD AT THE DOLLAR STORE…
Tiny Sloth was started because we noticed that the cards offered in retail stores didn’t quite fit our needs or personality and those that are online were way too expensive. Also, and this might just be us, but we didn’t always want everyone to see what we wrote in a card. Sometimes the sentiment was meant to be private. That’s why each one of our cards has a slide out notecard so that you can share your thoughts without marking up the card itself. This allows the person your sending it to to display it without everyone in the world seeing what you wrote. It’s the small things but we feel like they make a difference.
The card itself is also different than what you might expect because of how it’s constructed. Let’s start with the card stock. We don’t use the barely there stuff. Instead, we chose to spend more on stock that gives the card presence and will allow it to easily be displayed without curling or bending. Now let’s talk about the design. These little works of art are precision cut with lasers and then painstakingly assembled by hand. You won’t believe the skill and craftsmanship it takes to get these from sheets of card stock to the popup cards you see on our site.
A SLOTH? I DON’T GET IT.
We’d be remiss if we didn’t talk about why we named our company Tiny Sloth. This is the number one question we get from customers. It’s pretty easy. Sloths are cute. No one can deny this absolute fact that these creatures were put on this planet to make you say “Ohhhh! How cute!”. We added the “Tiny” to evoke a clear image in your mind that is hard to forget. I bet right now you have an image of what a tiny sloth looks like in your mind. A cute, little, fuzzy sloth with dark round eyes and a face that makes you smile.
We hope you have enjoyed learning more about our story and we hope that you’ll reach out to us with any questions, comments, or suggestions. We are happy to put together custom packs for events and can even help you design your very own card.
Thanks for stopping by Tiny Sloth.
